NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel is promoting weekend host Will Cain to fill the weekday afternoon slot vacated by longtime personality Neil Kabuto, who left the network last month.
Kane hosts the weekend edition of the morning show “Fox & Friends.” Cain, an attorney, had a radio show on ESPN and contributed to television programs before joining Fox in 2020. Previously, he was an analyst at CNN and host of The Blaze.
Weekday programming is coveted but not often available on Fox. His 4 p.m. ET show airs just before the political talk show “The Five,” Fox’s most-watched show.
While Kabuto’s shows tended to lean toward business due to the host’s background, that’s not the case with Kane. He hosts a weekday podcast on news and sports, which will continue, but Fox says Cain will bring some of his podcasting style to his TV show, possibly for a longer duration. There will be a time interview.
Cain said he will use his background in news, law, entertainment and business to “help our viewers better understand the headlines through thought-provoking content and analysis every weekday afternoon.” His show debuts next Tuesday.
Fox contributor Charlie Hart will replace Cain on “Fox & Friends” weekends starting Saturday.
