Hannah Cavinder welcomed boyfriend Carson Beck to Miami in a very playful way.
Days after entering the transfer portal and announcing his plans to play for the Hurricanes in 2025, the former Georgia quarterback appeared in a TikTok video with Cavinder over the weekend. Cavinder is a guard on the Miami women’s basketball team and has 4.5 million followers on her videos. PLATFORM — They smiled and each raised their hands to form a “U” in honor of the university.
“Great day to be a Hurricane in Miami,” Cavinder wrote in a separate post about the X on Friday.
Beck announced Thursday his decision to reverse his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft and enter the transfer portal.
“Go Canes,” he posted on Instagram.
Beck, 23, was a second-year starter with the Bulldogs and had a strong showing in his first season in 2023, throwing for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Although he has thrown more touchdowns this season (28), Beck’s interceptions have doubled to 12.
His 2024 season was interrupted after he injured his throwing shoulder during the SEC Championship Game in December and underwent surgery.
Before the end of the year, Beck declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, a move that was met with criticism from college analysts, especially Todd McShay.
“Carson Beck made the wrong decision to retire early,” McShay said in late December on his self-titled podcast, which was also featured on Awful Announcing. “I emailed a lot of people around the league, GMs, former GMs, scouts. One scout wrote me back and all I got was one word: ‘Stupid.’ Like I said, I thought he got better in the second half of the season, but I don’t think he’s there yet. I thought he played great in some moments and played better in the second half of the season, but he just never played at the level that we, many of us, expected him to play this year. ”
Beck is expected to get paid big in a draft reversal, potentially receiving $3 million to $4 million in NIL money by heading to Miami, where Cam Ward left in this year’s NFL Draft. There are also reports.
Cabinder, a 23-year-old social media sensation along with her twin sister Haley, is in her second year in Miami.
She competed as a member of the Hurricanes’ Elite Eight during the 2023 NCAA Tournament, but stepped away from basketball that same year.
Cavinder announced that he will rejoin the Hurricanes in April 2024.
Beck confirmed his relationship with Cavinder in an interview with ESPN last summer.
