NBCUniversal has a new chief financial officer, with Randy Culbertson promoted to the position overseeing the entertainment company’s finances.
Culbertson’s promotion was announced in a memo to staff on Tuesday by NBCU COO Adam Miller and Comcast CFO Jason Armstrong.
Culbertson, who currently serves as chief financial officer and senior vice president of operations for NBCU’s advertising sales division, will succeed Anand Kiri. Anand Khiri is leaving his position to become chief financial officer of Spinco, Comcast’s cable company, which is expected to be separated from the company later this year. Mark Lazarus will become CEO of the new business, and Miller will take on an additional role at NBCU as COO.
Prior to joining NBCU, Culbertson spent 10 years at General Electric Company.
“As NBCU’s CFO, Randy will oversee financial and strategic functions across the company and work closely with the Media, News, Studios, and Universal Destinations & Experiences leadership teams on growth strategy, operational plans, and budgets. ,” Miller and Armstrong wrote. “Randy truly understands our business and has proven to be an effective leader and respected colleague. In his new role, Randy will report directly to Adam and will join our talented corporate team. and an embedded business CFO across the company. He will continue to support our advertising sales operations as we begin to identify internal and external candidates for his role.”
