Some paper shredding events are sponsored or sponsored by nonprofits, such as the Ronald McDonald House, so search for your local nonprofit. Credit unions, banks, and other financial institutions regularly hold free recycling events, so be sure to ask. Massachusetts
Many other New Jersey counties will participate in the 2025 Free Shred event, including Hudson, Union, and Somerset. Find a location near you on the county’s website. New York, Pennsylvania Location: Multiple MCT locations in Pennsylvania

Information: Limit materials to 5 Banker’s Boxes (no business allowed). Confidential documents containing only personal information. Virginia Location: Arlington, Virginia – Earth Products Yard
Date and time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month in 2025 (*If there is a three-day weekend, the shredding event will be held on the following Saturday).

Alabama Location: Dothan, Alabama – Solomon Chevrolet

Information: This free recycling event includes electronics and paper. There are no restrictions, but be sure to read the details on the website. Arkansas Location: Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock Zoo

North Carolina Location: Cary, North Carolina – Multiple City Facilities
Date and time: Any day of the week in 2025 at a facility in the town
Information: Cary residents can always bring in paper to be shredded. See website for locations and opening hours. South Carolina Location: Greenville, South Carolina – Public Works Campus
Date and time: April 19 and November 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Note: There is a limit of 3 boxes/1 bag per person. The event continues until the truck is full. Up to 10 electronic devices per person can also be recycled. Please see the website for more information. Tennessee Location: Williamson County, Tennessee – Williamson County Recycling Center
