We already know that New Jersey hospitals rank among the best in the region, but what about obstetric care?
U.S. News & World Report has announced the Best Hospitals for Obstetric Care in 2025 to assist families in finding the right facility to provide high-quality labor and delivery services for uncomplicated pregnancies.
The report shows how hospitals track and report birth rates, rates of severe neonatal complications, breastfeeding rates, episiotomy rates, “birth-friendly” practices, and outcomes for patients of different races. They evaluated 817 hospitals nationwide based on several factors, including whether they had and ethnicity.
In New Jersey, 25 hospitals met the criteria for the list, and five Jersey Shore hospitals were also recognized as high performers.
