If the Ravens win the AFC North, they will likely be the No. 3 seed in the postseason tournament in January.
Otherwise, the most likely wild-card entry would be the No. 5 seed, likely heading to Houston for the first round of the playoffs. The Ravens will also play the Texans on Christmas, leading to questions for Ravens head coach John Harbaugh on Monday.
Harbaugh was asked if he would hold back on anything in terms of game plan to get his team ready for the rematch in the coming weeks. Harbaugh said scheduling considerations are “not a priority” for the team heading into Week 17.
“you try to win the game” Harbaugh said via the team’s website. “There’s a lot of things we can come up with for the next game that would be the next iteration of what we’re doing. Anything that we think is good, we’re going to do it.”
A division championship is clearly the preferred outcome for Baltimore, and it’s in their best interest to do everything they can on Wednesday to finish ahead of the Steelers. They have played every AFC team that has already clinched a playoff berth, as well as the Chargers, Broncos and Bengals, so familiarity is all but guaranteed in any postseason matchup.
