Washington:
Approximately 1.3 million adults and 300,000 youth identify as transgender in the United States, and each day is a ticking time bomb for them.
“With the stroke of my pen, I will stop the transgender madness on day one,” President-elect Donald Trump’s words echoed through the Phoenix Convention Center at Turning Point USA (TPUSA)’s annual gathering, America Fest. Crossed.
Some 20,000 right-wing politicians, activists and members of the media gathered here as President Trump vowed to launch a “common sense revolution” and usher in a “Golden Age of America.”
“I will sign an executive order to end child sexual mutilation and remove transgender people from the military and from elementary, middle and high schools,” he said at the event.
Approximately 15,000 people will be forced out of the military due to President Trump’s ban on transgender people in the military. Additionally, transgender people will be banned from joining the military.
TPUSA Director Charlie Kirk said what happened on November 5th was an act of God and credited Donald Trump’s victory to “God Almighty.”
For transgender people, living in the United States now means living in an enemy country for at least the next four years, putting their agency to sleep. According to PBS News, calls about mental health crises from LGBTQ+ youth have spiked 700% since Election Day.
He also promised to keep “men” out of women’s sports. Algeria’s Imane Kherif and Taiwan’s Li Yuting incorrectly labeled two female Olympic boxers as men, even though they were both born and identified as women, and their Paris Games He said participating in the event was “insulting to women.”
As President Trump declared in his 90-minute speech in Phoenix, “Under the Trump administration, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female. Doesn’t sound too complicated? I wonder?”
In addition to talking about economic growth and the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, Trump also added that “wokeness” is bringing the country down.
“And the wake has to stop,” he said. “Because, along with everything else, it’s destroying our country. We’re going to stop being woke. Woke up, woke bull***.” , argued that local school systems’ tolerance of transgender issues and critical race theory are part of such destructive policies, and vowed to put an end to them.
“We’re going to get critical race theory and transgender craziness out of our schools, and we’re going to get them out of our schools very quickly,” he said, to cheers from the audience. “I will defend freedom of religion, restore freedom of speech, and protect the right to keep and bear arms.
The Trump campaign also posted an anti-transgender campaign ad that read, “Kamala supports taxpayer-funded gender transitions for prisoners and illegal aliens. Kamala is for them. President Trump is for you.” It is also worth noting that it cost 65 million dollars. He also accused Democrats of “imposing transgender worship” on children.
Gender-affirming care is essential in the United States, where it is associated with lower rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide. It remains unclear how President Trump’s new law will affect the millions of people who rely on gender-affirming care.
