Prince Harry has been warned not to return to the UK, with an old friend suggesting he could “look stupid” if he did.
Tommy Severn, captain of England’s polo team and former colleague of Prince Harry, has expressed his disapproval of the Duke of Sussex’s new Netflix series. Mr Severn described the documentary, which centers on the world of polo, as “very strange”.
The five-part series, which delves into “fierce rivalries” and “intense training,” features a wide range of players like Timmy Dutta, a young star backed by his father’s U.S. team. However, Prince Harry, who is an executive producer with Meghan Markle, only appears briefly near the end of the show.

“It was more like a Timmy and Tim Dutta story than a prince who doesn’t appear until near the end,” Seven told the Daily Mail.
Severn suggests William should extend an olive branch to Harry.
Interestingly, the prince spent his gap year on the Severn family’s farm in Argentina, and previously kept polo ponies at a stud farm in Gloucestershire owned by Severn’s grandfather, Christopher Hanbury.
“I don’t know why Harry didn’t mention his connection to me during the show,” Severn said. “I think Harry has cut ties with you, so if you come back now he’ll make fun of you.”
Prince Harry’s strained relationship with his older brother Prince William has long been in the public eye. Ms Severn suggested that William may need to extend an olive branch, saying: “William may need to help because they were close. That’s the bond between brothers.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had little role in the series, which sparked significant criticism from royal fans. The couple, who retired from royal duties in 2020, signed an £80m deal with Netflix, which expires next year.
