This biscuit pretzel bite hack works beautifully.
We are very impressed with our results and encourage everyone to try it. The texture is chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. I added egg wash instead of salt to all of my bagel seasonings for a nice variation.

Turn small pieces of dough into pretzel bites using water and baking soda.
1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
2
Open the biscuits and cut each into quarters.
3
Bring about 1 quart of water to a boil on the stove. Baking soda tends to foam, so add it slowly. Soak the biscuits in water for 15 seconds on each side, then transfer to a sheet pan. It is convenient to use a slotted spoon.
4
Use a kitchen brush to brush the egg wash over the biscuits. Sprinkle all the seasoning on the bagel.
5
Bake in the oven for 8-9 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Enjoy with dipping sauces such as mustard or cheese dip.

It feels like having Auntie Anne at home. You can also add a little butter at the end and drizzle it on top. I find it very interesting that I no longer taste biscuits. This would be fun to make with kids, and I think they’ll love these easy pretzel bites too!
