One person was killed and 10 others were injured in four districts due to debris from Russian missiles, Kiev’s military government said in a statement.
A Russian hacker group also attacked Ukraine’s critical digital infrastructure on Thursday, as Russian ruler Vladimir Putin’s all-out offensive shows no signs of slowing down.
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed on Wednesday that the attack on Kiev was a “reaction” to a Ukrainian missile attack on a factory producing fuel for Russia’s Iskander missile in the Rostov region.
Dozens of residential buildings, a Catholic cathedral and business centers in Kiev were severely damaged by the Russian attack. After the strike, more than 600 buildings lost heat.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorgiy Tiki told a news conference in Kiev on Friday that the Russian attacks also damaged embassies in Albania, Argentina, Palestine, Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro.
“All these embassies are in one building and suffered heavy damage. The windows and doors of the diplomatic offices were broken, there were pieces of the ceiling. Vehicles were damaged. The Ukrainian side is dealing with the consequences. ,” Tikii said. “Fortunately, the diplomat was not injured.”
