ACUSHNET — Superintendent Dr. Paula Bailey and Principal Leah Chesney are proud that Acushnet Elementary School has been ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Schools.
U.S. News released its rankings of the best elementary and middle schools in November. Acushnet Elementary School ranked 104th out of 1,560 elementary schools in the state, putting it in the top 7%.

U.S. News ranks schools based on state-required test scores, graduation rates and how well students are prepared for high school. Elementary, middle school, and high school students will be admitted if their overall score is within the top 40%.
Acushnet Elementary School enrolls approximately 556 students in kindergarten through fourth grade and was recognized for 62% math proficiency and 60% reading proficiency.
