After a year of transformation in our community, from bringing an Amazon warehouse online in Pasco to the decision to open a Costco warehouse in Richland, we’re excited to bring you the final edition of 2024.
In everything we do, the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business strives to help the Mid-Columbia region build a stronger economy and more vibrant communities. Our team strives to provide you with news you can rely on, alongside regular updates and in-depth reports.
Inside you’ll find a 12-page energy publication. Featuring news and columns from industry experts, it’s a great way to catch up on firehose news related to the local energy sector.
This month also marks the publication debut of our first collection of lists.
We launched the business-focused list 15 months ago, and every month since the Journal created the list (this edition includes three), we’ve highlighted the top companies, places, or projects. We rank and introduce them based on various criteria.
We know our list book will be a valuable resource for the Tri-Cities business community.
All print subscribers will receive a 45-page copy of the book in the mail by the end of the year. It’s too big to squeeze into a monthly journal.
Each list is sold for $10 each on our website in both Adobe PDF and Microsoft Excel formats. You can also purchase the Book of Lists from our office for $24.95, but subscribing to the journal is definitely more economical.
December is the perfect time to reflect on what’s come before. We launched our first live business event this year. One in May honors the Tri-Cities’ up-and-coming young professionals, and the other in November honors the Best Places to Work in Mid-Columbia, as ranked by employees. By all accounts, they were a huge success. And we’re excited to announce something new in 2025: People of Influence on March 13th.
The event recognizes enterprising people who have demonstrated leadership and influenced the business world, both personally and through their businesses, over the past 12 months. Can you think of someone you know who would be an influencer? We’re currently accepting nominations.
Finally, and most importantly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of the journal. I’m grateful to have such loyal readers. On behalf of the Journal team, I would like to wish you a happy and happy new year.
