Let’s prove Santa’s existence! Take a photo of Santa in your living room with this free app.
Catch Santa in action this Christmas!
This Christmas, you can prove Santa came to your house with CaptureTheMagic and the fun photo app Catch Santa in My House.
Whether you have a skeptic in your family or want to confirm to your kids that Santa showed up on Christmas Eve, this app makes it fun and easy to take classic Saint Nick photos right in your living room. You can.
Try using βCatch Santa at Home!β The app is very easy…
To take a Santa Claus photo of your home, simply upload a photo of your Christmas tree, living room, or another scene in your home via the free app (available for iOS and Android).
Then select Add Sticker. Here you can choose one of your Santas from the various options available. Each Santa category has a few free Santa options, but the remaining poses require in-app purchases. In-app purchases for these options start at $1.99.
Insert the “sticker” of your choice and the app will integrate it with your photo. You can use photo editing tools to move Santa and make fine adjustments to the photo. When you’re ready to save your photo, select Export. From here you can choose to download the photo or share it to social media.
Capture the Magic also makes a similar video app. It’s for iOS and its name is “Santa Live!” It works similarly, but requires an in-app purchase.
Looking for a free app to take photos of Santa? Try downloading the Catch A Character app. The app’s features are limited compared to what Capture the Magic offers, but both the Catch a Character app and the downloadable Santa photos are free.
Please use these apps on other occasions as well. With the various Capture the Magic and Catch A Character apps, you can also take photos of other visitors in your home, such as the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny.

Track Santa’s route using the free NORAD app.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been tracking Santa since the 1950s, and now offers a free app that lets you and your kids track Santa, too.
This engaging app features a countdown to Christmas and also provides lots of information about NORAD’s mission and how and why to track St. Nick. We also have free games and free Christmas music to play every day as you wait for the big night.
A similar app is Dualverse’s Santa Tracker. It may have fun and festive graphics that may appeal to children, but it may be full of ads and require in-app purchases for some features.
You can also listen to messages from Santa using the Messages from Santa app.
The Messages from Santa app allows parents to set up phone calls, texts, or videos from Santa for free. Children can also leave audio messages for Santa. All of these functions are performed using the app, so you don’t even need to enter your phone number.
The app itself is free to download and many features are free to use (though you will see ads). Additional options can be added for a small fee, but are not required. Even without add-ons, the free features are compelling enough.
If you ask me, this is a Christmas app worth downloading. I’ve tested a few of these and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the one-minute phone call from Santa. Text messages were a little slow, but responses were to the point.
This is a fun app to play with, so we encourage parents to play with it before using it with their children. That way, you can anticipate the questions your child may have and encourage them to have a successful magical moment with Santa. π
