Sweetwater, Fla. – Jose Quintana was already wanted as a fugitive for defrauding the U.S. government when he stole more than $130,000 in luxury watches from a former business associate in Miami-Dade County.

Police said surveillance video showed Quintana, also known as Jose Angel Quintana, disappearing with five Rolex watches valued at $134,500. Sweetwater spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said Quintana was wearing an ankle monitor.
“He’s on the run. Everyone’s looking for him,” Maya said.
Quintana is a co-defendant in the Medicare and Medicaid fraud case, according to a 13-page federal indictment.
He is charged with money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Zabaleta is also wanted on a grand theft charge in Sweetwater, police said. Federal authorities believe he cut off his ankle monitor.
