In Malibu, California, thousands of people have fled their homes as the Franklin Fire engulfs the city. Some of them are famous residents.
On Monday, the fire spread across the region, made worse by dry land and Santa Ana winds. According to Cal Fire, six buildings were damaged and nine were destroyed. Only 7% of the fire has been extinguished. Stars who reportedly have homes in the disaster area include Beyoncé and her husband, the ill-fated music mogul Jay-Z, actress Julia Roberts and pop star Lady Gaga. It is unclear whether the stars’ homes were affected by the fire.
Meanwhile, stars including Dick Van Dyke, Jane Seymour and Brooke Burke took to social media to share the devastation in their communities, with many evacuating their children and beloved animals.

Treasured legend Van Dyke told his followers that he and his wife Arlene Silver, his longtime girlfriend, needed to leave Malibu.
“Arlene and I evacuated safely with the animals, except (the cat) Bobo, who ran away when we left. We hope he’s safe and sound,” Van Dyke said Wednesday. We pray that our community at Serra Retreat survives this terrible fire.” on his official Facebook page.
Hours later, the veteran actor commented that he was reunited with his feline friend.
“I found Bobo as soon as I got home this morning. Bobo’s disappearance sparked a lot of interest and a call was made to animal control. Thankfully, Bobo was easy to find. , he was never in any harm’s way,” Van Dyke said.
On Thursday morning, Van Dyke appeared on the “Today” show and described the harrowing evacuation process.
“It came over the hill. You could see it,” he said of the fire. “I was trying to crawl to the car, but I was too exhausted to stand up. Then three neighbors came and carried me out, and then they came back and put out a small fire in the guesthouse. He saved me.”

Mark Hamill was unable to evacuate Malibu due to the Franklin wildfire. The “Star Wars” actor took to social media to alert fans that he was on lockdown.
“Everyone please stay safe! I’m not allowed to leave the house. This fits my geriatric recluse lifestyle,” the 73-year-old wrote.

Brooke Burke
Burke, a former “Dancing with the Stars” champion and television personality, said she and her family are safe after being evacuated from their home in Malibu. The mother of four shared photos on her Instagram, one of which showed her standing next to a firefighter who appeared to be patrolling the area. .
“Prayers to Malibu… What a wonderful community. We love our home and are fighting to protect it, but somehow we find ourselves paying homage to this sacred place disaster after disaster.” The disaster continues.Thank you to my friends who have reached out to me. To our families, gardeners, partners, neighbors, over 1,000 first responders, law enforcement, volunteers, and workers, Mother Nature and our brave firefighters navigating wicked uncertainty. In another video shared on her Instagram Story, Burke told her followers that her children, animals and home were all safe.
“My heart truly breaks for my friends and neighbors who can’t say the same thing. … It’s been a tough time in Malibu,” she said.

On Wednesday, actress Seymour shared a creepy image of Malibu on fire on Instagram.
“The fires in our area are a stark reminder of how quickly life can change. Mira Sorvino
Actress Mira Sorvino offered prayers to the Malibu community after being evacuated. The “Mighty Aphrodite” star told X: “To all my friends and neighbors in Malibu, I hope you’re all safe. We evacuated in the middle of the night, and our children and pets were all taken into account! It’s a scary time!” he wrote.
Sorvino and her husband, actor Christopher Backus, have four children, two of whom are under 18.
