A horrific car crash in Texas on Monday ripped a nearly $200,000 McLaren in two and killed two people.
Fox 4 News reports that around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane in Dallas, a black luxury sports car collided with a Toyota Corolla and then a tree, splitting it into two. Alarming photos have been reported showing the body being torn apart.
The passengers in the McLaren, Cristóbal Flores Espino, 29, and Robert Leroy Rocha, 31, died.
Photos showed the front half of the hot rod, believed to be a 570S model, near a tree and the back half about 30 feet from the road.
A gold Toyota sedan also collided with a tree, sustaining significant damage to its front end. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the paper said.
The cause of the crash is unknown. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
The McLaren 570S starts at $191,000 and can reach 102 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
