The Washington Wizards have lost 13 straight games, the longest in the league, which will be difficult for everyone. But in Corey Kispert’s case, he’s attacking it from a different angle.
Rather than bemoan the Wizards’ struggles, Kispert considers them a privilege.
“I have the luxury of going through a period like this and it’s my responsibility to help people who aren’t members of the team who don’t have the same experience as me to keep this going, and it’s broken.” , things will get better, but we don’t have the luxury of deciding when it will get better, we have to keep working hard, keep developing, keep pushing until it gets better. That’s the only option left to us. ,” Kispert said.
The Wizards’ run has been bad, but it hasn’t been the longest of Kispert’s career either.
This isn’t Kispert’s first rodeo, as the Wizards suffered a franchise-worst 16-game losing streak a year ago. Some on the roster have endured much worse conditions. Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma, and coach Brian Keefe were also among those involved in both losing streaks, and they likely parlay the experience of losing streaks from late January to early March into dealing with the current slump. It is probably used as food for food.
The Wizards could avoid setting a franchise record by winning one of the next few games, but they could lose another 13 games. We don’t know exactly what’s going to happen with the Wizards, but they have the talent to handle tough times like this.
The Wizards should be looking at every possible way to gain an advantage here, and looking at this from this angle they are doing so.
The Wizards will take on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight at 8pm ET, hoping to end their losing streak.
