Nora Hotel in West Palm Beach redefines luxury by fusing Mediterranean design with timeless elegance and features a Parisian-inspired brasserie by Steven Starr.
Located in the Nora District, a vibrant 40-acre, pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use hub in downtown West Palm Beach, The Nora Hotel, in partnership with NDT Development and Place Projects, is the newest addition to BD Hotel’s New York This will be our first foray into new construction outside of Japan. This luxury retreat aims to redefine the city’s hospitality scene, drawing design inspiration from the iconic charm of Palm Beach architecture.

Just over the bridge from Palm Beach Island, the Nora Hotel pays homage to the region’s heritage and the lasting influence of renowned architect Addison Mizner. Inspired by Mizner’s Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival styles, the hotel features intricate, colorful tiles, grand arches, and natural, richly textured materials. The design process was particularly unique, with Vaughn overlaying images of Mizner’s famous facade over the hotel’s architectural plans and carefully using tape to piece together a vision that felt connected to the local aesthetic.

Gachot Studios, a renowned New York interior design firm, creates hotel interiors with a signature blend of simplicity, elegance, and a deep connection to place. Known for his sophisticated approach and meticulous attention to detail, Gashaw creates spaces that reflect the unique essence of a place. Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, serves as the hotel’s design architect and architect of record.

Known for its exceptional dining experiences, BD Hotels is introducing its iconic Pastis Brasserie on the ground floor of The Nora Hotel. Created by restaurateur Stephen Starr of James Beard Award-winning STARR Restaurants, Pastis promises to deliver a taste of Parisian luxury. The hotel will also feature a rooftop restaurant and lounge in partnership with STARR Restaurants, offering a pool, garden dining area, two bars, private cabanas and stunning views. In-room dining service is also available. The ground floor of the hotel is surrounded by a traditional loggia and a lush garden, offering a tranquil space to relax and unwind.
