I own and have used both Oral-B and Sonicare for many years. I lost my Sonicare so I was looking for a replacement and found this one. As a former industrial engineer with a focus on human factors design, I can say without a doubt that this is the best designed electric toothbrush I’ve ever seen. The decisions made by designers are better suited for us humans than other brands. When you follow the hygienist’s instructions, the brush head moves up and down at the same angle as your wrist. The amount of vertical movement is adjustable. Also, the strength of vibration can be adjusted. The speed of brushing motion is adjustable. It can also be extended to high frequencies like Sonicare. All of these adjustments are flexible within the app, so you don’t have to think about them while brushing your teeth. In fact, you can set three different sets of adjustments (modes 1, 2, and 3). Quickly switch between them using one button on your toothbrush.
The three different heads included show soft, medium and strong bristles and are easily interchangeable. The handle is shorter than competitors’ designs and has a slightly larger circumference at the top. Maybe someday I’ll be slimmer. You can add a 32nd reminder for a total of 2 minutes or not. The mag-safe cord that plugs into the USBC is more convenient and smaller than a typical charger, but battery life seems to be longer. There seems to be no need to charge it during normal overseas travel.
