GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Marietta College men’s basketball lost 99-75 to Wisconsin Lacrosse on Friday in the Great Lakes Invitational Tournament hosted by Calvin College.
With this loss, Marietta falls to 3-1 on the season. Lacrosse improved to 3 wins and 1 loss overall.
Marietta took an early lead and led by as many as seven points at 19-12 seven minutes into the game. La Crosse fought back to tie the game at 21-21 with Toryn Hanna making one of two free throws at 11:18.
La Crosse held a small lead, but exploded on a 25-8 run to end the first half. The Eagles made five 3-pointers during the game and led 56-33 at halftime.
Marietta saw its lead grow to 30 points in the opening minutes of the second half as the Eagles continued to shoot hot. Ryan McGill’s 3-pointer cut the Eagle lead to 22 points, but with 1:32 left in the game, the winner was already decided.
Jaden Bradshaw led all scorers with 28 points. Bradshaw hit six triples in the game. Frank Waganfield had 15 points and seven rebounds. Jake Singleton and Landry Parata had nine and eight points, respectively.
Lacrosse had five players who finished in double digits. Dustin Dorseau had 20 points and five rebounds. Carter Thomas added 19 points and Sam Griger finished with 16 points. Will Furman and Hannah each had 12 points.
Marietta concludes play in the Great Lakes Invitational against Hope College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
