Vietnam is reportedly building a new city with luxury apartments priced under $40,000.
The Sun Urban City project will cover approximately 420 hectares of land in Lam Ha District, Phu Ly City, Ha Nam Province, approximately 45 minutes by car from Hanoi.
The project is Ha Nam’s largest urban project and is part of Phu Ly’s goal to become a metropolitan area by 2030, with the city hoping to attract 10 million tourists upon completion. This was reported by constructionreviewonline.com, a media specializing in construction news.

Accommodation options range from studios and 2-person apartments to townhouses and villas.
Five parks will also be built in the city: Sunworld Park, Sports Park, Ecological Park, Festival Park and Culture Park.
According to Constructionreviewonline.com, Sun World Park will be a 19-hectare water park with adventure games, a wave beach, and an indoor park.
The sports park covers an area of 22 hectares and includes gym equipment, as well as basketball, soccer and tennis courts, artificial climbing, a running track and a dedicated area for yoga.
The Festival Park will provide space for national and international performances, while the Ecological Park will be a 13-hectare green space that will provide residents with a quiet place for picnics and other activities.
The cultural park covers an area of 36.7 hectares, 40 percent of which is covered by a lake. A playground, event plaza, and beer brewery will be built around the lake.
The entire project is expected to be completed in 2028, while parts of the city, including some of the apartments, are expected to be completed in 2025.
