GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Pursuit of Happiness, Inc., a local champagne bar and market in the heart of Easttown, will celebrate the end of the event with an official ribbon-cutting event and toast Thursday at 3:30 p.m. is. A long-term road construction project.
“We’ve been celebrating for over a week and business has been very good,” explained Pursuit of Happiness owner Wendy Wassink.
Pursuit of Happiness Co. offers its own brand of American Champagne, along with cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages and small plates.
Over the past few months, local businesses such as Pursuit of Happiness have seen overall declines due to ongoing construction in the area.
“Business has decreased by 50 percent since construction began,” said Wendy Wassink, owner of Pursuit of Happiness.
The construction project at the corner of Robinson Road and Lake Drive began in June 2024.
This included installing new water mains, replacing lead water pipes, and improving sidewalks.
