The holiday season is here and with it comes vacation travel. And the age-old question that comes up every year is, “What will happen to the family pets while we’re gone?”

The number of travelers is expected to increase by 1.7 million compared to 2023 and 2 million compared to 2019, according to AAA, a private membership motor club that provides services such as roadside assistance and travel benefits. Masu.

And with Thanksgiving travel expected to set new records, many will turn to local pet boarding facilities to care for their four-legged family members on the go.
And that’s where Gallatin’s new K9 Resort luxury pet hotel comes in. The business just celebrated its grand opening last month and is being touted as Tennessee’s first luxury pet hotel site.
More than 200 people, including Gallatin city officials, were on hand to welcome the approximately 11,000 square foot facility located at Savannah Marketplace in Gallatin (2021 Gordon Crossing Suite 100).
The first opening was so well received that Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce officials and community members hosted a second ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the new facility on November 5th.
For nearly 20 years, K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotels has provided luxury dog daycare and boarding services at facilities in more than a dozen states.
Officials said each location is custom designed with hospital-grade ventilation systems and antimicrobial flooring.
Dubbed the “Ritz-Carlton of dog hotels,” guests will enjoy cage-free luxury accommodations with premium Kuranda dog bedding, flat-screen TVs, Italian flooring, chandeliers and more, according to a company press release. The facility can be used.
Gallatin officials said the new business is expected to add about 22 new jobs to the area.
This facility can accommodate 150 dogs for boarding and 125 dogs for daycare.
