Iredell Health System’s skilled nursing facility has been named a 2025 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report.
Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Home ratings have helped America’s families in need of short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for themselves or a loved one.
The nursing home earned U.S. News Best Nursing Home status by earning a “High Performance” rating, the highest rating for short-term care. U.S. News only awards the Best Nursing Home designation to facilities that meet U.S. News’ independent evaluation of consistent performance on quality standards.

To calculate the Best Nursing Home rating, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home’s performance using a variety of quality metrics obtained from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). U.S. News’ methodology considers data such as resident care, safety and outcomes. Short-term and long-term evaluations include data on nurse staffing, antipsychotic use, and success in preventing ER and hospital visits. Long-term care ratings also include measures of whether the home has changed ownership and how well staffed it is on weekends.
