U.S. News & World Report has released its 2025 elementary and middle school rankings for each state, and Barrington Public Schools leads Rhode Island’s list with four rankings.
The digital media company used data from the U.S. Department of Education to create rankings of more than 70,000 public schools based on four metrics: math proficiency, reading comprehension, math achievement, and reading comprehension. The schools analyzed were then given a score based on a formula that took into account four criteria and socio-economic background.
