Scripps News is rolling out new strategies to bring journalism to our audiences.
The company plans to end terrestrial broadcasting on November 15, while focusing on streaming and connected TV.
“We know streaming is the future of our business, and with streaming viewership up more than 44% year-over-year, we want to expand our streaming viewership to even more viewers. We’re in a good position to deliver,” said Matt Simon, who is leading the new effort. As vice president of Scripps News, he said, “We will continue to provide high-quality journalism, with an increased focus on integrating with local stations and innovatively showcasing original reporting across the company.” I will focus on it.”

Christina Hartman, executive vice president and director of Scripps News, previously explained that EW Scripps’ decision to remove Scripps News from terrestrial broadcasting was a financial and operational decision.
However, the new era of Scripps News will still feature dozens of journalists from across the country. International correspondent Jason Bellini will also continue reporting from around the world.
Next week, Scripps News will premiere “In the Shadows with Jason Bellini.” It will chart Bellini’s journey through some of the most pressing international crises, while also showcasing the brightest parts of humanity.
