Whitefish Bay High School has been named the Best High School in Wisconsin, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 rankings.
The publication analyzed nearly 25,000 public high schools across the U.S. (ultimately ranked about 17,660 schools) for this year’s edition of its annual rankings.
High schools were evaluated on college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.
Unlike the magazine’s rankings for elementary schools and middle schools, high schools are given national rankings.
“These are combined with district- and state-level statistics, information on each school’s student population and enrollment, Title I status, and other distinguishing characteristics for comparative purposes,” the report states.
