TEMPLE, Texas — Bonham Middle School in Temple has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Middle Schools in Texas list.
This prestigious ranking recognizes top-performing schools based on student proficiency in math and reading as measured by state assessment tests. To be on the list, a school must rank in the top 40% statewide.
Temple Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Bobby Ott praised the recognition as evidence of the district’s growing profile.
“Temple ISD is truly becoming one of the top choices for education in Central Texas,” Ott said. “We will continue to push forward.”

U.S. News evaluated more than 23,000 public middle schools across the country using data from the U.S. Department of Education. This ranking takes into account both the overall performance and performance of socio-economically disadvantaged students.
