Creative Artists Agency has found a new chief financial officer from outside the company.
The Century City-based recruiting giant has hired Asurion executive John Storey as chief financial officer, the agency announced Wednesday. Storey will succeed Carol Soudy, who has overseen CAA’s finances since taking over the role three years ago after Jim Bartson was promoted to president of CAA.
“CAA is executing on its vision to best serve its clients by expanding into new business areas and international regions, and we are excited to welcome John to the team,” said Bartson. Ta. “John is a proven leader with a strong track record of strategic planning and operational improvement. His track record in building for growth aligns well with our ambitious goals.”
Mr. Storey spent nearly 20 years at Asurion, an IT and technology protection planning company, and previously held investment banker roles at Robertson Stephens and Alex. Brown & Sons.
“CAA is admired not only for its unique and strong culture of collaboration and connection in service to clients, but also for its market-leading position and industry innovation,” Storey added. “We have a clear vision of creating limitless opportunities for our customers and employees, and we look forward to playing a role in CAA’s continued growth to ensure that vision.”
Sodhi joined CAA from PwC Networks in 2021 and is leaving the agency.
