PGA Master Professional Don Rea Jr. was elected the 44th PGA President at the 108th PGA of America Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Rea, who has served as a member of the Southwest PGA Section for the past 22 years, will serve a two-year term representing more than 31,000 American PGA golf professionals.
Rea, who earned PGA Master Professional status earlier this year, is the owner and operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club, a public golf course in Mesa, Arizona.
He served as a member of the National Board of Directors of the PGA of America from 2016 to 2019 and as Chairman of the Southwest PGA Section from 2013 to 2014. He also served on the boards of the Southwest PGA Section, the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA), and the Arizona Tourism Federation.
While on the PGA Board of Directors, he chaired the Junior Golf Committee and the PGA Junior League Committee, which created the American Development Model (ADM) for golf. In addition, Mr. Rea served as a member of the Chief Executive Officer Search Committee and currently serves as a member of the Chief Executive Officer Search Committee.
Leah currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association, where she helps promote the golf and hospitality industry and educate the public and Arizona legislators about the golf industry’s water use.
Since 2012, Rea has owned Your Course Consulting and also founded Community Course Rescue Services in 2017.
