The world’s best luxury hotel brands of 2024 have been named, according to Luxury Travel Intelligence, according to LTI’s Elite Travel Advisors.
And for the second year in a row, Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental Hotel took first place.

This luxury brand flies only three flags in the United States. One of them is right here in the Big Apple, high above Columbus Circle.
To determine the winner, the luxury professionals said they created an algorithm that analyzed 130 “touchpoints” related to the luxury hotel sector.
“The focus is on the ability of brands to deliver on their passion, commitment, ethos and values, as well as the quality of their management and staff,” the organization said in a statement.
“Continuous investment and how it is utilized is also a key factor, especially when it comes to new properties or renovating existing properties,” they continued.
Mandarin currently operates 40 hotels and numerous branded residential properties in 26 countries and territories.
The original Hong Kong Hotel opened in 1963.
Bvlgari, Oetker Collection, Six Senses and Aman rounded out the top five.
Several brands made the list for the first time, including Bvlgari, Dorchester Collection, and COMO.
“Bulgari’s participation is particularly meaningful because Bvlgari is a highly focused and well-managed organization, with each property delivering a truly ultra-luxury guest experience,” LTI founder Michael Crompton said in a statement. This is because they are doing so.”
Among the winners, Aman, Rosewood, Auberge, Four Seasons, and Peninsula all have locations in New York.
Crompton said: “With continued senior leadership changes across brands, impressive levels of investment and intense competition to chase increased travel spending among the wealthy, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen next year. I don’t even know,” he said.
