How did Barron Trump help his father win the “sibling vote”…and how tall is he?
Yesterday, when Donald Trump took to the stage in Florida to announce that he would be sworn in as America’s 47th president, the internet was all thinking one thing…
How tall is Barron Trump?
The 18-year-old was literally towering over his father, who was busy praising his “incredible victory” over Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
“Barron Trump is very likely just three normal-sized people stacked on top of each other,” one person wrote on X.
“Where the hell did Barron Trump get them the height gene?” asked another.
Barron, the only child of President-elect Trump and first lady Melania Trump, is 6 feet 9 inches tall, according to some online sources.
Others give his height as 6 feet 7 inches, but even at this height he is much taller than his father.
He also dwarfs all of his siblings, even though he is the youngest of President Trump’s five descendants.
Comparing images of Barron, who made his first public appearance with his father in 2016 when he was 10 years old, to now, the difference is striking.
President Trump previously revealed the secret behind his son’s height, crediting Melania’s mother, Amalia Knabs, for making him taller.
“Hey, was she looking after the Baron?” he said. “That’s how he got so tall–he only ate her food.”
“I said, ‘You’re going to be a basketball player,'” he recalled of his conversation with Barron. “He said, ‘Dad, I actually like soccer.’
“I was thinking…at your height, I prefer basketball, but we can’t discuss everything.”
Before entering the world of sports, Barron is credited with playing a major role in helping his father appeal to younger voters.
Jason Miller, a senior adviser to President Trump, said Barron was the architect of his father’s podcast strategy.
During the campaign, Trump held talks with popular and influential podcasters Joe Rogan, Theo Vung, Logan Paul, and others in an effort to win over the so-called “compatriot vote.”
“Baron has been very involved in selecting and recommending a lot of the podcasts that we should do,” Miller said.
“I have to say, hats off to this young man. All of his nominations have been absolute gold, breaking the internet. He’s done a great job.”
Barron turned down an opportunity to serve as a delegate for his father at the Republican National Convention earlier this year, his mother’s office said.
As a delegate, Barron would have been required to be on the convention floor and join Florida’s delegation to formally nominate his father.
It is unclear whether Barron will play a formal role in the administration of President Donald Trump.
President Trump gave several jobs to his family during his first term, including senior adviser roles for his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
