November SSI payments: Social Security beneficiaries in the United States will receive three checks in November.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a welfare measure that provides monthly payments to people with limited income and assets. This program is administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA).
The reason my SSI is paid three times in November is because the calendar is weird.
Beneficiaries will receive their first SSI payment for November on November 1st. According to the Social Security Administration’s schedule, the second payment will be received on Wednesday, November 27th.
On November 29th, beneficiaries will receive their December SSI payment, resulting in three November SSI payments. Because December 1st falls on a Sunday, beneficiaries will receive their SSI two days early.
SSI payments in 2025
Because January 1 is a holiday due to the federal holiday New Year’s Day, recipients will receive their first SSI payment of 2025 on December 31, 2024.
Similarly, beneficiaries will receive their February SSI payment on January 31, 2025, and their March SSI payment in February 2025. Therefore, beneficiaries will not receive an SSI payment in March.
According to the calendar, May recipients will receive two SSI payments, one on May 1st for May and one on May 30th for June. Therefore, no SSI payments will be made in June. In August, beneficiaries will also receive two SSI payments for August and September, on August 1st and August 29th, respectively. Therefore, no SSI payments will be provided in September.
