The Mile High Report staff generally expects the Broncos to beat the Ravens 25-23 on the road. We all predicted who would win this game, and most of us think it will be a close game. Here’s what we think Sunday’s final score will be:
Ravens 24, Broncos 19
I think some of my colleagues here are way too optimistic. Sure, the Broncos have won big in three of their last four games, but the only quality opponent they’ve faced was one they were dominated for three and a half quarters. I think Bo Nix and the Broncos offense will be competing in this game, but ultimately Lamar Jackson’s veteran experience will be enough to lead the home team to victory in this game. But Denver’s strong performance could go a long way in changing some minds about this team. – Tim Lynch
Broncos 34, Ravens 20
The Ravens will punch the Broncos in the mouth. In past years, that alone would have been an embarrassing loss, but not this year. The Broncos will fight back this year. This will be a slug festival. The Ravens are the best in the league at stopping the run, but they’re terrible at passing. OL did a great job of protecting Bo Nix, which led to 34 points for the Broncos on the road, and the defense held Derrick Henry and a limping Lamar Jackson to 20 points. – Joe Mahoney
Ravens 24, Broncos 17
I believe in the Broncos defense. The Ravens are a good team. They will take on the Chiefs for AFC supremacy. Still, I believe in this team. Do you think they will win against the Ravens? Want to. I want to believe it. This is going to be a good match. It’ll be close. Derrick Henry could be limited by this defense. Bo Nix has been one of the best QBs in football over the past month. I want to believe, and it’s getting close, but not quite. – Adam Malnati
Broncos 27, Ravens 24
This is a great matchup. Top-class defense and high-profile offense. Vance Joseph’s unit blitzed at the highest rate in the league. Lamar Jackson has the highest success numbers of all quarterbacks when facing blitzes. Something has to give. I’m bullish on the Broncos and think they can perform well enough in all three phases to win on the road. – Chris Hart
Broncos 27, Ravens 20
When the Ravens played against the Chiefs, they scored 20 points. The Chiefs defense is in the same range as the Broncos’ performance, and I think Denver can match their feats. This is a game the Broncos can win because Baltimore is unusually vulnerable through the air and the Knicks come into the game with a lot of momentum. – Taylor Coate
Broncos 27, Ravens 24
The Knicks had one of the best months we’ve seen from a rookie QB. What better way to carry that on than with a big game against the Ravens on the road. The Broncos’ defense shines again as the Knicks and Sean Payton take advantage of Baltimore’s weak pass defense. – Ian St Clair
Ravens 27, Broncos 23
The Ravens have stepped up in the competition and are hot on their heels after losing to the Browns last week. Bo Nix will continue to improve, but the offense is shooting too many field goals, so Lamar will find a way to get there against a formidable defense. Bonus prediction: Mention Rahim Moore too many times and your TV will break. – Jonathan Rice
Ravens 24, Broncos 21
This should be a fun and engaging game. Just like winning doesn’t tell you how good the Broncos are, losing doesn’t tell you how bad they are. Just kidding. A win against an elite team like the Ravens means the Broncos can compete at a high level in every phase of the game, so a win would fully demonstrate just how good this team is. It would also mean the Broncos are true playoff contenders at this point in the season. Unfortunately, I don’t think the Broncos can beat the elite Ravens team unless the Ravens collapse like they did last week against the Browns. And while a win would show how good the Broncos are, I don’t think a loss would say anything other than that this young team isn’t at that level yet…but even a loss would show how good the Broncos are. Closer you can tell it’s better. And that’s what I expect (in addition to a huge upset by the Broncos!!) – Laurie Lattimore-Volkman
Broncos 27, Ravens 26
The Broncos have what it takes to beat the Ravens, who have had several setbacks against lower-ranked opponents. A secondary that has been in poor shape to begin with, weakened by injuries, could be the weak link that Bo Nix and Denver need. I also think the RPO aspect that Payton brings will allow them to move the ball against Baltimore’s league-leading run defense. Be optimistic. – Ross Allen
Broncos 31, Ravens 17
This game made Bo Nix the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year and solidified the Broncos’ status as an AFC playoff team. The Broncos defense shuts down the Ravens offense, and the Knicks and Broncos offenses will do enough to win this game, which should be pretty easy. – Scottie Payne
