Our newsroom may report stories under the byline “Staff.” The “Staff” byline is often used when rewriting basic news summaries that come from official sources and require little or no reporting, such as a city press release about a road closure. This byline is sometimes used when a news article has many authors or is created by aggregating previously reported news from different sources. Hello, this is Brainerd Dispatch. I started a few days before Christmas, 1881, and two years later it became a daily newspaper.
