LYNCHBURG, Va. — The No. 13 Lynchburg field hockey team (13-2) returns this Wednesday, Oct. 30, for a midweek game against the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins (12-3). Head to Virginia Beach.
The Hornets defeated Eastern Mennonite 13-0, their most dominant win of the season. The win continued Lynchburg’s winning streak, improving to nine straight wins and remaining undefeated in conference play.
Virginia Wesleyan will be the Hornets’ penultimate regular season opponent before facing Shenandoah. For the past 20 years, the Hornets have commanded the series between the two programs. Lynchburg has won the last 21 meetings with the Marlins, outscoring WVU 30-0 in the last four meetings.
