Get ready for adventure on your next Free National Parks Day!
Create meaningful family memories for free! The National Park Service is offering a free day of admission to U.S. National Parks on Veterans Day, November 11th. No special park pass required. This is the last free admission day of 2024 and a great way to celebrate our veterans.
This free admission is a great opportunity to visit parks that normally charge a fee, such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and more. A complete list of participating sites can be found here. America has over 400 national parks.

Veterans and Gold Star families are supported by the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers!
Active duty U.S. military members and their dependents can also qualify for free annual passes to many of these attractions. Admission fees and standard amenity recreation fees are also waived for active military, veterans, and Gold Star families.
For purposes of this program, veterans are defined as individuals who served in the U.S. military (including the National Guard and Reserves). Gold Star Families are the next of kin of U.S. military members who lost their lives in “qualifying circumstances” such as war, international terrorist attacks, or military operations outside the United States. If you plan to pick up this great giveaway at our nation’s parks or other federal lands, please note that you will need one of the following forms of identification:
Department of Defense Identification Card Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) Veteran ID Card Veteran designation on state-issued U.S. driver’s license or identification card
Gold Star Family members can download and print their vouchers and present them to park staff or exchange them for an Interagency Military Lifetime Pass before visiting any National Park site, or at any uninhabited location. It should be placed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
