The 2024 NDHSAA Class A Football State Playoffs began on Saturday, Oct. 26, with Bishop Ryan hosting Dickinson-Trinity at Herb Parker Stadium. The Lions earned their first playoff victory of the year, 29-17.
The Lions took the lead, taking an 8-0 lead after a two-point conversion. Dickinson-Trinity responded by scoring a touchdown of its own after the game ended 8-7.
Bishop Ryan kept up the pressure in the second half and won 29-17.
Bishop Ryan will face Central Cass on Saturday, Nov. 2, in the second round of the playoffs at Central Cass High School.

The Aggies, the top seed in Region 3, hosted the Rough Riders, the fourth seed in Region 4, and used overwhelming offense, defense, and special teams to earn a convincing victory.
Belva will host the Harvey Wells County Hornets for the second time this year in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 2. In Game 1 on August 30th, the Aggies defeated the Hornets 36-0 in their second game of the season.
Harvey Wells County 14, Ellendale/Edgley Krum 7
In the second round of the nine-man playoffs, the Region 2, 2nd seeded Hornets hosted the Region 1, 3rd seeded Thunder. The game was a close one, with the hosts securing the victory and moving on to face the Aggies in the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 2nd in Belva.
Killdeer 49, Delac Burlington 22
The Lakers faced the Region 4, top-seeded Cowboys as the No. 4 seed in Region 3, but could not find a path to victory. This loss ends Dellac-Burlington’s season.
Killdeer will host the Region 2, top-seeded Langdown/Edmore/Munich Cardinals in the quarterfinals.
