Arsenal return to Champions League action on Tuesday night when they host Premier League giants Shakhtar Donetsk at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side have picked up four points in their Champions League adventure so far, drawing with Atalanta in the first round and scoring a big win against PSG in their last match. The north London club have enjoyed an impressive run against the French champions and will be looking to continue that tradition on Tuesday night.
Arsenal will also be looking to bounce back from a disappointing result in the Premier League at the weekend, when the Gunners lost 2-0 to Bournemouth, leaving Arteta’s side four points behind leaders Liverpool.
Bukayo Saka was left out of London’s squad for the weekend and is yet to feature in the game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Arteta made two changes from the Bournemouth defeat, replacing Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling with Brazilian duo Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

As for Shakhtar Donetsk, they have not had the start to the season they had hoped for, as the Ukrainian side currently sits in fourth place in the league and is yet to win the Champions League.
Marino Pusic’s side drew 0-0 in their opening game against Girona, but suffered a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in their last match. This leaves them 27th in the European standings and the Ukrainian team faces a very difficult task of stealing points from Arsenal.
Shakhtar beat Koros 1-0 on Friday and Pusic made changes from that win, with Danilo Cican included in Newerton’s starting eleven.
