FREESBURG — Trent Lewis completed nine passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns as the Frewsburg Bears defeated the Red Jackets 53-14 in eight-man football Friday night. He accomplished that and added two more points on the ground.
Frewsburg’s Blake Weaver picked up the interception and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown on the Red Jackets’ first offensive play of the game.
Lewis then completed a 38-yard pass to Weaver, and Lewis scored on a 2-yard touchdown run.
The Cardinals’ Hasen Weatherbee scored on a 2-yard run after the Red Jackets’ Tristan Bellis completed a 44-yard run to 6-foot-9 tight end Truman Hill.
Frewsburg then scored 30 points in the second quarter. Lewis scored on a 36-yard run and threw touchdown passes of 39 yards to Weaver, 16 yards to Chase Haglund, and 18 yards to Henry Eckert.

Senior Mason Eckman capped the Bears’ scoring with a 1-yard run in the third quarter.
Weaver led the Frewsburg defense with 14 tackles and an interception. Lewis ran for 64 yards and Eckman ran for 58 yards on the ground.
Hard Tops Eden/North Collins
EDEN — Jacob Ross had 24 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns as Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove defeated Eden/North Collins 47-22 in Class C South football on Friday.
Charlie Reichenbach had eight carries for 58 yards and a touchdown, and Max Parmentier also had a 10-yard score for Hurd (5-2, 4-2).
Parmentier also completed two passes for 22 yards, one of which was a 17-yard touchdown to Grant Zahm. Ryder Carlson made four of seven kicks after the point.
Defensively, David Markham recorded 18 tackles, three of which resulted in points. Taylor Jones had 12 tackles and intercepted a pass, and Zach Markham had eight tackles. Roger Markham chipped in six tackles and had an interception return for a 12-yard touchdown.
The Raiders lost 3 wins and 4 losses in total, and 2 wins and 4 losses in league play.
Class D Titans Roll
Cattaraugus — Franklinville/Ellicottville lost 41-8 to Cattaraugus/Little Valley in Friday’s Class D game, leading 28-0 at halftime.
Isaac Town completed three passes to Breton Brecha for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and Brady Tatrow also completed a 32-yard pass for the Titans (4-3, 3-2). ) over the Timberwolves (1-6, 0-4). ) 302-153.
In addition to Brecha’s two touchdown receptions, Landon Rahn returned the opening kickoff 70 yards for a score, Matthew Spitler scored on a fumble recovery, Town ran for 40 yards and Colin Mooney had a 1-yard touch. Recorded a down.
