More than 1 million Michigan residents have already voted by mail in the Nov. 5 election.
“We’re here today to thank all the people who are working hard to organize, register and get voters to the polls today,” Harris told reporters. Ta.
The vice president praised the city wearing a “Detroit vs. Everybody” T-shirt given to him by the company’s owner during a campaign stop in Detroit earlier this week. This is in contrast to Republican candidate Donald Trump, who recently made light of this while campaigning in the city.

“It’s good to be in a great American city and celebrate just what it is,” Harris said. He added that Detroit is “full of honorable, hard-working people with guts and ambition.”
He was also asked whether the Biden administration’s full support for Israel in its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip would hurt his support in Michigan. Dearborn, near Detroit, is the country’s largest Arab-majority city.
“It’s never been easy,” Harris said of Middle East policy. “But that doesn’t mean we’re giving up.”
She’ll gain even more star power when she holds a rally in Atlanta with Usher later Saturday. The singer is scheduled to speak at the event.
Early voting is also available in Georgia. More than 1.2 million votes were cast in person or by mail.
Democrats are hoping that the massive organizing effort will give Harris more leverage against Trump in the final weeks of the campaign.
