The man was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, multiple passports and fake number plates and is facing firearms charges. The suspect was released on bail Saturday, according to jail records. Federal officials said Sunday that a federal investigation is ongoing.
“What we do know is that he showed up with multiple passports in different names, an unregistered vehicle with fake license plates, and a firearm,” the sheriff said at a press conference yesterday. said. “We truly believe we were able to thwart another assassination attempt.”
