cincinnati, October 8, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has once again been named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is comprised of the top 10 children’s hospitals in the United States out of 108 participating children’s hospitals.
This year, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital ranked No. 1 in three specialties and was in the top 10 in all 10 ranked specialties. This makes us the only health system in the 13-state Midwest region and one of only two in the nation to earn this honor.
In a major change, hospitals on the Honor Roll are no longer ranked in a specific order. The changes will begin in adult hospitals in 2023 and will now also apply to children’s hospitals.
Additionally, pediatric and adolescent behavioral health was added to the ranking for the first time in more than 15 years. The initial list includes the top 50 hospitals and is in no particular order. That includes Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Hospitals were ranked based on key clinical data, including measures such as patient outcomes, resources spent directly on patient care, and patient safety. The purpose of these rankings is to identify hospitals that provide the highest quality care for children with the most serious or complex medical problems.
