CBS Sports Network’s continued coverage of the 2024 college football season will feature seven games from Week 7, including two weeknight games ahead of Saturday’s quadrupleheader. The game begins Tuesday night with a Conference USA game between Florida International and Liberty. Liberty have already won two league games and will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record.
Conference USA is back in the spotlight Thursday night when Middle Tennessee State travels to Louisiana Tech. Both teams are looking to rebuild after a tough month that saw their combined records drop to 2 wins and 7 losses. Mountain West Conference action gets underway Friday night with UNLV visiting Utah State.
Then comes a solid Saturday with some interesting games in one of the biggest weekends of the year. Two potential teams in the College Football Playoff, Army and Boise State, are playing all day. The Black Knights will host UAB in American Athletic Conference play, while the Broncos will look to get even closer in the Mountain West race with a trip to Hawaii.
Once the Week 7 games begin, CBS Sports Network will be with you every step of the way. In the meantime, check out the info, storyline, betting odds and more for each matchup.

Spread: Liberty -19.5 |Will the Flames cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
This will be the first midweek game in a season full of midweek games for Liberty, which still has its College Football Playoff hopes alive. The Flames have now lost one game after their trip to Appalachian State was canceled due to Hurricane Helen. That means Jamie Chadwell’s side have not played football for more than two weeks. Florida International offers a good opportunity to get back on track. The Panthers had a roller coaster season, defeating the likes of Central Michigan University and Louisiana Tech University, and losing at home to FCS Monmouth. They have 0 wins and 2 losses on the road.

Spread: Louisiana Tech -4.5 |Will the Bulldogs cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
Something has to give when the Blue Raiders and Bulldogs square off on Thursday night. Neither team has won against an FBS opponent this season. Middle Tennessee is 0-4 since a close win over Tennessee Tech in Week 1, and Louisiana Tech is 0-3 since a one-possession win over Nichols in the opener. MTSU has lost its last four games 170-48. Louisiana Tech has done a good job of keeping its games respectable, closing its two opponents to within one point each after losing by just 10 points on the road to North Carolina State a few weeks ago. .

Spread: UNLV -18.5 |Will the Rebels cover it? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
UNLV’s College Football Playoff hopes took a big hit last week as the Rebels lost a Friday night road game to Power 4 opponent Syracuse. The Rebels spent a week in the AP Top 25 (their first-ever ranking) before being eliminated. That being said, everything is still in front of them. UNLV opened Mountain West Conference play with a 59-14 victory over a very good Fresno State team. They are currently the heavy favorites heading into the road trip against Utah State, which lost 62-30 to Boise State. The Aggies have lost four straight since their season-opening win over Robert Morris.
Army UAB

Spread: Army -24.5 | Will the Black Knights cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
Those caissons are rolling. Army emerged as a legitimate contender for the College Football Playoff in its first season with the American Athletic Conference. The Black Knights just scored a season-high 49 points in the win over Tulsa, but have yet to allow more than 14 points in a game this season. UAB offers Jeff Monken’s team a great opportunity to advance to 5-0 in AAC play. The Blazers have struggled under coach Trent Dilfer, hitting their lowest record with a 71-20 loss to Tulane on October 5th. UAB is outscoring FBS opponents by an average of 27.5 points, and this is the fourth straight year they have lost by double digits.

Spread: San Diego State -1 | Will the Aztecs cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
This game is key for both teams looking to avoid last place in the Mountain West Conference. Two of the three total wins have come against league opponents, but San Diego State and Wyoming State are both below .500 on the year. A big reason for this is their struggles on the offensive end. The Aztecs rank 10th in the Mountain West in total offense (322 yards per game) and points scored (20.6 points per game), while the Cowboys rank 12th out of 12 teams in total offense (242 yards per game) and points scored (20.6 points per game). They are 11th in points scored. (16.4ppg). If you feel like it, go under.

Spread: Oregon State -4.5 | Will the Beavers cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
Oregon State is apparently playing a Mountain West Conference schedule, but this is not a Mountain West game. That would also be necessary for the Beavers, who won’t have a full conference at home until 2026 after the Pac-12 was dismantled and then (partially) reinstated in the latest round of realignment. Despite all the uncertainty, the Beavers had a great season. Their only loss so far was against an Oregon State team that is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation. Otherwise, three of Oregon State’s four wins have been by at least 17 points. The Beavers hope to keep up that form against a Nevada team that has only won once since Aug. 31.

Spread: Boise State -21 |Will the Broncos cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 predictions here
Boise State is currently the favorite to represent Group of 5 in the College Football Playoff. The Broncos also have a leading Heisman Trophy candidate in running back Ashton Giunty, who threw for 1,031 yards and 16 touchdowns in just five games. He also carries less than 100 times on the year and currently averages just 10.9 yards rushing per carry, but that number increases every time he touches the ball. Boise State’s only loss this year was on the road, but it was against No. 3 Oregon State. Hawaii is 2-1 at home but is still looking for its first win against an FBS team. Their one loss was against power conference opponent UCLA by three points.
