HAMPTON, Va., Oct. 4, 2024 (Globe Newswire) — Hampton University has made a remarkable rise in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings, placing it among the top 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the nation. We proudly announce that we have secured the 7th place position. These milestones reflect the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student success.
In addition to its ranking among HBCUs, Hampton University is also recognized for its excellent undergraduate engineering program, ranking 115th among schools that do not award a doctoral degree. The university’s computer science and psychology programs also received high ratings, highlighting the university’s focus on producing graduates who are well-equipped for today’s competitive job market.
Further emphasizing its commitment to promoting student success, Hampton University is notable for ranking 97th in the ranking of Top Performers for Social Mobility, moving up one spot in this important category.
