Above: Recovery in Motion clinical services director Jenna Blanchard, operations director Zach Blanchard, finance director Jesse Raguz, and intake and architectural director Carol Simpson plan to bring substance use treatment services to Fairmont by late 2024. We aim to introduce.
FAIRMONT – Recovery in Motion is a new group in Fairmont dedicated to supporting addicts on the road to recovery.
We aim to achieve this through multiple programs. The residential treatment program for men will have 26 beds available for men ages 18 and older. Finance Director Jesse Raguz said there are several aspects to the program.
“They attend internal and community-based support groups weekly.” he said. “They will be able to contact a mental health professional to address their mental health needs. We believe that overall health is an essential part of the recovery journey. (This incorporates physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, environmental and economic health.
Residents have access to lounge areas and training rooms where they can socialize and train themselves. The donated clothing section has all the items a new resident might need.
A 20-week outpatient service will also be available for men and women. The first 8 weeks start at 12 hours per week, decreasing to 3 hours per week for the last 6 weeks. The program includes group sessions, comprehensive assessments, treatment referrals, and peer support services.
Raguz said he and all of the other founding members of Recovery in Motion worked together in treatment facilities after overcoming addiction.
Operations Director Zach Blanchard said starting their own place started with a conversation between him and Ragus.
“Jesse came to me and said, ‘Hey, I want to build a modest house.’ Blanchard said. “At first I was like, ‘Oh, okay, whatever.’ Then he brought it up again, and I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll talk to my wife about it.’ I told her about it and it started small. We were going to do (intensive outpatient), but it kept increasing. ”
Originally from the Fergus Falls area, the original plan was to locate in Alexandria. Blanchard said his wife, Jenna Blanchard, director of clinical services, began looking for a location online after initial plans fell through. A building that once housed a youth detention facility at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont caught their eye.
Zach Blanchard said they did a lot of research before deciding to relocate and found that the area needed the services they provided.
“There’s nothing like us within 100 miles.” he said. ”
Although now fully licensed by Minnesota DHS, Jenna Blanchard said Recovery in Motion won’t open until December 2024 or January 2025, when insurance details are finalized. Raguz said the response from the community to the initial arrival was very positive.
“They helped us along the way.” he said. “Every time we took a step, they reached out to us. We reached out to them. We have a very good relationship with the city here. .”
“Whenever we tell someone who we are and what we do, the reaction is always the same.” Jenna Blanchard said. “This area needs this service.”
Jenna Blanchard said once these are up and running, plans include establishing a separate building dedicated to outpatient programs and 24/7 online assessments by July 2025.
