Foley, the world’s leading manufacturer of grinding equipment, will be exhibiting at Saltex for the first time this year. To commemorate this, the company will be showcasing its new quick-spin grinder, which it introduced to the market earlier this year.
The Foley 642 Quick Spin Reel Grinder brings a whole new meaning to quick spin. Designed to accommodate the widest range of mower cylinders, it is an easy roll-on, roll-off grinding solution with the machine installed at floor level.
Wheel-in and wheel-out operation eliminates all heavy lifting equipment and revolutionizes the way groundsmen and greenskeepers view touch-up spin grinding. Foley Company’s professional grinders already offer optimal spin and relief methods for sharpening blades, and the new Foley 642 Quick Spin grinder complements these methods. It offers a fast, easy-to-operate option to provide quick touch-up spins in between regular relief grinding schedules. It’s also the perfect solution for sharpening wide, heavy lawn mowers used on sports fields and stadiums that can be cumbersome to load into a standard grinder.
Paul Rauker, CEO and President of Foley Company, is pleased to have Foley at Saltex. He said: “The 642 Quick Spin Reel Grinder is the first of its kind and we are pleased to recognize the importance of our latest development by bringing it to Saltex this year. It is an attractive machine for all ground professionals looking to improve their performance and efficiency.
“As a leading manufacturer of grinding equipment, Foley is once again at the forefront of grinding technology. We have developed and patented easy-to-use controls to save time without sacrificing performance. .
“The patented clamping system easily secures cutting units of any configuration, and the roller clamp can be adjusted to suit all types of rollers and groomers. This machine will really change the way we look at grinding in the future. ”
The Foley 642 Quick-Spin features easy-to-use controls, a counterbalanced spin drive, a patented front and rear clamp system for pedestrian mowers, and a power rear positioning lever for the cylinder. Spin only allows you to adjust traverse speed and spin speed. It accommodates reel widths up to 42 inches and operates on 240v/15a power.
Foley aims to supply a mass-produced model in the new year.
