With holiday travel starting soon, it’s expected to be a busier travel season than usual. According to MarketWatch research, more than 52% of adults plan to fly during the holidays, but with soaring ticket prices, the possibility of mass flight cancellations (who can forget last year’s travel nightmares?), and airports Traveling by plane during a travel vacation can be especially stressful. Thankfully, there are other travel options that allow you to enjoy the luxury of a private jet at a fraction of the cost.

Introducing Aero, a stylish semi-private airplane. The brainchild of Uber co-founder Garrett Camp, Aero was originally founded as a software platform for booking jets, but has transitioned into the “Uber of private jets,” according to the company’s website.
Los Angeles-based Aero is run by an “experienced team” of aviation, hospitality and luxury marketing experts. The Aleo Jet can carry up to 16 passengers and pets are also welcome.
“Aero offers a level of service and discretion unmatched in a semi-private space,” Aero CEO Ben Klein told Billboard. “Van Nuys Airport’s private terminal is separate from the main FBO on the field and allows us to charter jets from those exclusively available to Aeroguest to our jets with 16 forward-facing first class seats. The same level of privacy you’ll get on a musical tour. It’s especially popular for charters. Private jet space allows for plenty of storage for bags and equipment.
According to Klein, musicians and other celebrities “prefer flying with Aero because of our level of service and discretion” compared to air travel options. “In addition to regular service to Cabo, Aspen, Sun Valley and now Napa, our charter business is also very popular, especially for music tours.”
Aero cannot reveal the names of the recording stars who operated the charter flights because it prioritizes the privacy of its guests, but Busta Rhymes and Tommy Lee are a couple of artists who have posted about Aero on social media. be.
Over the summer, Aero invited me and other reporters on a flight experience from Los Angeles to Napa to preview the company’s new flight routes and partnership with Auberge Resorts Collection’s Stanley Ranch and Solage. The day trip included on-board wine tasting and snacks from Elephone (the Los Angeles market where the Hailey Bieber smoothie went viral).
From September 20th through November, Aero will offer flights between Los Angeles and Napa. Tickets start at $725 one-way. Aero has partnered with Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection and Stanley Ranch to offer travelers quick flights to wine country.
“Our community has expressed interest in visiting Napa, and we have worked hard to make their dreams a reality in time for harvest season,” Klein said in announcing the new flight in August. This was stated in a news release. “It’s extremely rare for a scheduled flight to land next to downtown Napa just over an hour after departing Los Angeles. Typically, this is only possible on private flights. Aero’s new service to wine country , is just one example of our strategic approach to growth in 2024. We are listening to market feedback and responding with innovative solutions. You can now fly to prestigious leisure destinations that are difficult to access.”
