People celebrated new leadership at several hospitals in the Birmingham metropolitan area. Orlando Health announced its majority interest in Brookwood Baptist Health with a celebration at several hospitals on October 1st. In a news release, Orlando Health Executive Vice President Thibault van Marquet will lead the University of Alabama.Orlando Health President and CEO David Strong will lead Baptist Health. Amy Allen, president and CEO of the company, visited all five hospitals to welcome employees to the organization. Orlando Health currently has majority ownership of Walker Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center and Brookwood Baptist. Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Citizens Baptist Medical Center. Van Marcke said the hospital will keep the Brookwood Baptist name for now and said he hopes the new partnership will help improve health care in central Alabama. David Strong, president and CEO of Orlando Health, visited all five hospitals with Amy Allen, president and CEO of Baptist Health. Welcomed employees to the organization.
Orlando Health currently owns the majority of Walker Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, and Citizens Baptist Medical Center. Ownership is being taken over.
