Vice President Kamala Harris likes to say that Donald Trump is only in it for himself, not the American people. Now, this weekend we saw Harris throw small businesses under the bus for her own political gain in a picture-perfect example of psychological projection.
On Saturday, Republican Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance tried to walk into Pittsburgh’s famous Primanti Brothers sandwich shop, but was barred from entering. This greatly disappointed waiting voters, some of whom recorded the event on their cellphones in anger.

Ire was being brought up on the right side, boycott threats were being made, and Vance was understandably a little frustrated.
But President Trump’s running mate graciously forgave the snub while greeting fans in the parking lot, paying for the crowd’s meals with a generous tip. The store issued a statement welcoming him and saying employees had just looked at the cameras and were surprised.

As Bard once pointed out, all’s well that ends well until Kamala Harris gets involved, and that’s very telling.
On Sunday, the Harris campaign posted a video to X showing Harris being hailed as a Primanti Brothers hero in August. The message was as clear as it was ugly. Unlike Republicans, Democrats are welcome in polite society.
Ms. Harris’ appearance at this summer’s staple Steel City event was met with widespread ridicule after it was revealed that her campaign had turned away actual guests and bussed in supporters to create a venue for misconduct. Let’s put aside the fact that he was exposed to. That’s bad enough.
However, what Ms. Harris has caused here is not only dishonest coverage of political events within the House. She is causing real harm to Primanti Brothers. ” Efforts are needed to reverse this situation and make it clear that everyone from all political walks of life is welcome.
That’s what Vance meant when he said of the manager after being denied entry, “Don’t be hard on her. She’s just a little nervous, but this is a great local business.” That’s what I wanted.
That’s the classy way to handle something like that. That’s what generations of Americans have expected from our nation’s leaders.
Primanti Brothers admitted that’s what happened and that it really should have ended there. But no, not for Kamala Harris, the “me” girl where everything has to revolve around her.
It didn’t matter to Harris that the problem was resolved, that the boycott of the restaurant died down, or that people were ready to move on to more serious issues.

No, the Vice President of the United States had to spike a football into an X at her AstroTurf event with a greasy spoon, even if it meant hurting business. As you know, Harris’ victory is more important than any individual small business.
And it was done in a very unpleasant way. Does Mr. Harris really want all of our business to be segregated by customer policy? That’s scary.
I was reminded of a recent conversation I had with a woman in San Francisco. She was a lifelong resident who followed Harris’ rise.
“She doesn’t seem to believe in things very much, and she’s not a very nice person,” she told me.

This echoes similar voices in Pennsylvania who told me, “I have no idea who she is,” or more generally, “She’ll say anything to get elected.”
Harris has continued to insist that she is a candidate who selflessly campaigns for the American people and that Trump only cares about Trump, but that Harris is not in the public interest. Have you ever done something selflessly and not for the sake of it?
When in her career has she taken a backseat to the interests of others?
She does not do so by magnifying the controversy and misery surrounding the Primanti Brothers. The Primanti Brothers just want this whole saga to disappear.

The brutal fact is that the only moral compass Harris and her camp have is set squarely on the North Star of victory, and even if they thought they would eventually get there, the reality is This means that it does not help people.
In the meantime, we are all just extras in Kamala’s amazing adventure, just like the attendees who bused in to her event at Primanti Brothers.
